pc-music.com is a resource created to come to the aid of anyone wanting to make music on their computer. There are dizzying amounts of products, software, interfaces and boxes all dying to get aquainted with your computer that squats on, or under, your desk, noisily trembling with possibilities, completely unaware of the awesome musical power it harbours. However, no one seems willing to explain very much and tend to assume that you're a technology wizard. This is what has brought you to me. I believe I can help, I can get you going in the right direction and I can point out a few good choices. If you want to find out what's possible with your humble PC and a desire to make music then this is the place to be.

News - Why Vista Sounds Worse? |

This journalist fellow phoned me up after my opinion on Vista as a platform for audio. I get a mention as an "expert" which is nice. His agenda appears to be to tell everyone that Vista is rubbish for audio, which is a shame because here's me writing my next Molten Meditation album on Vista. With the right software, hardware and a decent computer and provided you don't run loads of things in the background while you are recording then Vista can run brilliantly as a music production platform. My comment about the WaveRT driver is true - it's potential as yet unused - but running ASIO drivers instead is just peachy so where's the problem? His last sentence "All can lead to glitches" is simply untrue - I don't quite get what he's all upset about.
Anyway, here's the article - http://www.guardian.co.uk/ - please take with a large dose of salt.
